Dr Hương
Clinical Background and Training
- Qualified in Western medicine in 1980
- Among a few Vietnamese doctors to complete the elite residency training (FFI) at Hôpital Bichat-Claude-Bernard Paris in 1994
- Served 9 years as a pediatrician and lecturer at Thai Nguyen University Hospital
- Earned a Traditional Vietnamese Medicine degree from Hanoi Medical University in 1999 and advanced Traditional Chinese Medicine certifications in pain management and obesity from the University of Beijing
- Directed the International Department at the National Institute of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine for 7 years.
- In 2012, Dr. Hương became a Metabolic Balance coach (MB is a personalized nutrition plan which originated in Germany).
At her clinic, Dr. Hương uses a combination of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine, Western Medicine and diet to design the optimal course of treatment for her patients. In the past 46 years as a TVM doctor, Dr. Huong has treated patients with conditions such as pain, diabetes, high blood pressure, overweight, obesity, and hormone dysfunction in multiple countries, including Vietnam, the UK, Italy, France, and North Korea.
Dr. Hương is a member of Friends of Vietnamese Heritage and the International Women Club, where she teaches foreign expats in Vietnam natural ways to improve their health using moxibustion, acupressure, and herbal medicine. She is also a familiar face at the UNIS Hanoi Christmas Fair, where she introduces Traditional Vietnamese Medicine to the general public.
